The Creative Capital Agenda

THE CREATIVE
CAPITAL AGENDA

The Creative Capital Agenda is the Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s (BRAC) 2011-2015 strategic plan for the Capital Region’s continued national and global competitiveness. It builds on the success of BRAC’s first capital campaign, The Campaign for a Greater Baton Rouge, and is defined by six core strategies that will guide BRAC’s activities through 2015. They include:

  1. Job Creation: Retain and attract high-growth companies to positively influence quality of life
  2. International Development: Bring high-wage jobs associated with international business to the area to build a global reputation
  3. Entrepreneurship and Innovation: Support the development of new entrepreneurial firms and regional capacity for innovation
  4. Global Branding: Increase awareness of the Baton Rouge area as a destination location for high-growth companies and talented people
  5. Talent Development: Attract, develop, and retain human capital to meet the needs of business
  6. Regional Competitiveness: Target key public policy issues that impact the Baton Rouge area's ability to remain competitive in the global marketplace
