Alumni group to ‘Think Bigger’ with BRAC
Leadership North Alumni Association welcomes representatives from the Baton Rouge Area Chamber who will share information about the “Think Bigger” campaign at 6 p.m. June 23 in the meeting room at the Zachary Library, 1900 Church St.
The meeting initially was planned for March but postponed because of bad weather, a news release said.
BRAC’s “Think Bigger” campaign specifies four goals: to grow and diversify the Baton Rouge metro economy; to cultivate talent; to transform quality of life; and to elevate the region’s external image, all of which directly affect the region.
In addition to the chamber’s presentation, the alumni association is recruiting members of every graduating class who are interested in serving as directors.
According to association President Carla Sibille, there are many exciting opportunities to use what alumni have learned from Leadership North to promote sustainable economic growth and improve the quality of life throughout the North Capital Region.
“Representatives from each year’s class, including 2016, are needed to facilitate and manage the projects that alumni bring to the table, and this is a great opportunity to network even further and exercise those leadership skills in a practical and impactful way,” Sibille said.
“We will present more information on the roles of directors at the meeting, but alumni are encouraged to reach out to me or the other LNAA directors with questions,” said Sibille. “This will be the time to implement those class projects discussed during Leadership North sessions, and we look forward to seeing everyone’s ideas come to life for our region.”
