Another Hit Piece: This Time, in Livability

Extra, extra – we got another media hit! BRAC Director of Talent Development Melissa Thompson wrote an awesome article for Livability, one of the nation’s leading online resources used for researching communities. In the article, titled “8 Reasons to Move to Baton Rouge, LA,” Thompson lists out the Capital City’s shining attributes, writing, “The Baton Rouge community offers the thriving energy of a major metropolitan area thanks to its world-class universities and research centers, all while maintaining a small-town feel.” Isn’t that the truth!

The piece showcases what makes Baton Rouge different from other mid-sized college towns. Whether you rent a high-rise apartment or buy a historic bungalow, it’s easy to make your house a home. And the city is anything but boring – but also, affordable. Kids love it. Furthermore, the Red Stick boasts big-city resources but keeps that Southern small-town charm. And wait – did you know Baton Rouge is the birthplace of the blues?

That’s just a sampling of the treat. Read the full article that was originally published in Livability here: https://livability.com/la/baton-rouge/real-estate/8-reasons-to-move-to-baton-rouge-la
