Do you work on any BRAC working groups, committees or councils? If so, please elaborate.
I am currently the treasurer of BRAC, so I work with the Operations Committee, Executive Committee, and the Campaign Steering Committee.
What does your company/organization do?
First Horizon is a publicly traded Bank (FHN) with a presence throughout the Southeastern US.
What are some advantages of being located/doing business in the Capital Region?
The Capital Region offers a very diversified economic base given that it’s the home to state government, two major universities, a thriving healthcare system, and a mature petrochemical industry.
Why did you decide to invest in BRAC?
BRAC does a lot of pro-business work that is hard for companies to do individually. They make a difference for all of us.
What would you say to companies contemplating joining BRAC?
It’s a fantastic organization that every business should be a part of. They make a tremendous difference in your business’s success.
What do you anticipate for your company in the next five years? For the Capital Region?
I feel like we will continue to grow, but to a large extent our growth (and the growth of most businesses) is dependent upon the economic health of the local economy. That’s why BRAC’s work is so important.
