Banking executive Frederic “Ric” Kearny is the 2018 board chairman for the Baton Rouge Area Chamber. He succeeds Lee Jenkins, vice president of Performance Contractors, Inc.
Kearny is the Baton Rouge market president of Capital One Bank and has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry.
Chamber President and CEO Adam Knapp lauded Kearny’s selection, saying, “Ric has remained a long-time supporter of BRAC’s work and has been involved in several of our councils and committees. His breadth of understanding will be an asset.”
“Baton Rouge offers the best of Louisiana. There are many great things happening across the region, from the continued renaissance of downtown Baton Rouge to the thriving arts culture,” Kearny said. “In 2018, BRAC will continue to focus on job growth, education and infrastructure enhancements to improve the quality of life for citizens and businesses in the region.”
