Now in its fifth year, Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week returns next month with a number of familiar events as well as some new ones, as revealed this morning by the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
Held in conjunction with Global Entrepreneurship Week, which is Nov. 16-22, the local events include a mix of pitch competitions, national keynote addresses, educational programs, panel discussions, networking events and opportunities for angel investors to see new businesses.
“The Capital Region has a vibrant startup scene that’s frequently under the radar, but not during BREW,” says Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC, in a press release issued this morning. “Some amazing organizations across the region are collaborating to present a week-long celebration for risk-takers, innovators, small business owners, entrepreneurs, students, and others.”
BREW annually serves as an opportunity for entrepreneurs and small business leaders to connect and learn through workshops and summits. Budding entrepreneurs and LSU and Baton Rouge Community College students can also attend student-focused events being held on their respective campuses to help network and learn about growing a successful business.
Additionally, the Center for Planning Excellence will host events during the Louisiana Smart Growth Summit as pre-BREW 2015 events to promote dialogue on community development, planning, and leadership.
Registration for all BREW events, which are supported by media sponsor Business Report, is now open. See the complete rundown of BREW events and RSVP to attend.
