Summit speaker discussing transportation
Transportation and infrastructure will be addressed by the keynote speaker at the 2018 Statewide Economic Development Summit being held Feb. 27 in Baton Rouge.
Rosabeth Moss Kanter, a Harvard Business School professor, is the author of the 2015 book “MOVE: Putting America’s Infrastructure Back in the Lead.”
The Baton Rouge Area Chamber said other presentations from national and local speakers will spotlight best practices and ideas for the future of economic development.
Kanter will discuss the roots of America’s infrastructure issues and explain how civic leaders, app-creating technology entrepreneurs and established companies can use “Big Data” to bring infrastructure into the 21st century.
Named by the Times of London as among the 50 most powerful women in the world, Kanter is a social scientist, educator and author, inspiring corporations such as IBM, Proctor & Gamble and Verizon to adopt her business strategies.
