BRAC Announces 2019 Statewide Economic Development Summit Presented by Entergy

Bruce Katz, author of The New Localism, to serve as keynote speaker

BATON ROUGE, La. (June 27, 2019) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) today announced that, in collaboration with the Regional Economic Alliance of Louisiana (REAL), it will host the fourth annual Statewide Economic Development Summit presented by Entergy on October 22-23, 2019.

“This event is an annual opportunity for stakeholders who are invested in the future of economic development in Louisiana to network and brainstorm,” said Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC. “We are excited to be expanding to a two-day format to allow for deeper conversations around economic development, community and placemaking, and people and talent.”

The two-day Summit will take place at L’Auberge Casino Hotel in Baton Rouge, featuring a Gubernatorial Candidate Forum on the first evening and a keynote presentation by Bruce Katz, author of The New Localism, on the second day. The goal of the Statewide Economic Development Summit is to strengthen the state’s economy through shared ideas and business practices.

Event registration is available at brac.org/events. Early-bird registration for the two-day Summit, which includes the Gubernatorial Candidate Forum and the keynote presentation, is $180 for an individual ticket and $1,800 for a table of ten. Early-bird registration will be available through August 1, at which point prices will increase.
