Full-day conference to provide leadership development for area young professionals

Baton Rouge, LA (February 6, 2024) – The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) and Forum 225 today announced they are now accepting speaker proposals for the third annual YP Summit, which will be held at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center on April 25, 2024. Speaker proposal submissions will be accepted through February 16 at

“BRAC and Forum 225 are excited to bring back the YP Summit and allow the young professionals in our community to drive the content they want to hear,” said Maggi Spurlock, BRAC’s director of talent development. “After the success of last year’s open call for speakers, we are excited to bring that format back, allowing the voices from up-and-coming young leaders in the community to share their passions about the work they are doing to make Baton Rouge better.”

Ideal presentations will explore the latest trends, share insights on navigating the challenges of the modern workplace, and provide tangible strategies for career advancement. Additionally, presentations that encourage interactive participation, fostering a collaborative environment where young professionals can learn from each other’s experiences and build valuable networks, will be highly considered.

Proposals will be selected based on the appropriateness of the session topic and overall quality. The call for proposals will end on February 16, and selected submissions will be notified by February 29. Individuals interested in serving as a speaker are encouraged to complete the speaker proposal form at
