The Baton Rouge Area Chamber recently honored teachers through its Excellent STEM Educator Award, a competitive award that recognizes public middle and high school teachers who demonstrate STEM excellence.
Honorees included Kenilworth Science and Technology School teacher Elkhan Akhundov; Ingrid Cruz, of Scotlandville Pre-Engineering Magnet Academy; Justin Davenport, of West Feliciana High School; Daniel Eiland, Woodlawn High School; and Heather Howle, of West Feliciana Middle School, a news release said.
The winners were chosen by a subcommittee of BRAC’s Education and Workforce Issue Council, which consists of area business leaders.
