Baton Rouge, La. (May 22, 2020) – The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) today released an interactive map of known COVID-19 test sites in the nine-parish Capital Region to arm businesses and residents with information on where and how to access testing that will aid in the safe reopening of the economy. The map may be accessed directly here, and is available at brac.org/recovery.
“We identified the need for ample COVID-19 testing capacity to support community and workplace safety as one of the essential criteria for sustainably opening the economy in our Safe at Work framework,” said Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC. “Our hope is that the map gives folks an easily accessible reference point on testing centers available to them, and encourages businesses and workers to remain vigilant in screening for signs of infection. Testing early and often will be important in minimizing a second wave.”
The map, which will be updated as new information becomes available, is searchable by filters including parish, city, hours of operation, associated fees, and more. Individual site locations are populated with contact information and admittance criteria.
BRAC is regularly updating brac.org/recovery with business guidance related to COVID-19.
