BRAC Seeks to Recognize Stellar Job Growth

Applications open for Business Growth Award

BATON ROUGE, La. (January 23, 2020) — The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) today opened applications for its Business Growth Award, designed to recognize job growth in a company within the nine-parish Capital Region. The application is available online through Friday, February 7.

“The war for talent is a nationwide challenge,” said Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC. “We are excited to celebrate those companies that not only are winning the war in employee retention, but are also creating new jobs. It is an opportunity to spotlight companies committed to growth in our region.”

Job growth is calculated based on percent increase in full-time employees over the previous three years. For the 2020 award, the qualifying years are 2017-2019. Businesses interested in applying must be located within the nine-parish Capital Region, but do not have to be current BRAC investors.
