The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) is showing support for a commuter rail service between Baton Rouge and New Orleans.
BRAC released a statement to the effect that much of the estimated $260 million price for the service could be funded by federal dollars. The implementation of such a service is supported by Gov. John Bel Edwards, as well as city and parish leaders along the rail, including Mayor Barney Arceneaux, who last year unveiled the location of what would be the Gonzales station.
