Local agency ThreeSixtyEight selected to develop and launch website, campaign
Baton Rouge, LA (May 24, 2023) – The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) and Visit Baton Rouge today announced that it selected Baton Rouge-based creative agency ThreeSixtyEight to develop and launch a national talent attraction website and marketing campaign for Baton Rouge.
“Selecting an agency to work with on this key strategic goal was no light decision,” said Melissa Carter, Senior Vice President of Marketing at BRAC. “With 28 proposals submitted from agencies across the country, BRAC and Visit Baton Rouge diligently reviewed each proposal to find the one that best represented our large task at hand. We are thrilled to have selected ThreeSixtyEight. They showcased their creative and strategic experience working in economic development well, and to round it out, their authentic passion for Baton Rouge was evident, which we are sure will make the campaign shine.”
BRAC and Visit Baton Rouge first sought out an agency in February of this year to develop a talent attraction website and complimentary national marketing campaign that attracts young professional talent (ages 25-44) to Louisiana’s Capital Region. The organizations were looking for an agency capable of research, campaign development, media strategy and management, and web development, with relevant experience in economic development and/or talent attraction initiatives.
“We are excited to get this effort rolling, combining the passion of the Visit Baton Rouge and BRAC teams along with the thought leadership of ThreeSixtyEight,” said Jill Kidder, President & CEO of Visit Baton Rouge. “We are confident that together, our teams can tell the Baton Rouge story in a way that attracts and retains a dynamic workforce for our city.”
“ThreeSixtyEight is thrilled to partner with the Baton Rouge Area Chamber and Visit Baton Rouge on this transformative talent attraction campaign. Our extensive experience in economic development, coupled with our passion for Baton Rouge, makes us uniquely positioned to lead this charge,” said Adrian Owen Jones, Chief Growth Officer at ThreeSixtyEight. “Together, we will reveal the untold stories that make Baton Rouge unique and work tirelessly to showcase the vibrant opportunities Baton Rouge has to offer. We know that this work will drive our city’s future success.”
The initiative will be funded through a nearly $1 million grant awarded to BRAC and Visit Baton Rouge in September 2022 by the East Baton Rouge City-Parish Office through American Rescue Plan Act funds. The allocation was designated to launch a comprehensive effort to attract people to Baton Rouge for a new job or to visit and explore the region’s quality of life, including coordinated marketing and media campaigns, resources for discovering or relearning about Baton Rouge as a community to live and visit, and integration with the online BR Works job portal to drive people toward available jobs.
