BRAC’s April 15 COVID-19 Brief: How to bring essential employees back to work after COVID-19 diagnosis

Businesses in essential industries operating in compliance with Governor Edwards’ Stay-at-Home Order have voiced confusion around the proper protocol in bringing employees who have contracted and recovered from COVID-19 back to the workplace. BRAC spent time with Dr. Louis R. Minsky, chief of staff for Baton Rouge General, to provide some guidance.

Healthcare leaders don’t recommend requiring a negative test to return to work, but do recommend “Back to Work” approval be obtained from an individual’s doctor.
