The Baton Rouge Area Chamber’s “Big Think” event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 15 at the LSU Cook Hotel and Conference Center during Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week.

The keynote speaker is Jeff Cherry, executive director of Conscious Venture Lab and the Conscious Venture Fund, an early stage business accelerator and venture capital firm.

His presentation is titled “Can Conscious Capitalism Transform our Cities?” Cherry will focus on the idea that social and economic justice are not only connected but that connection or lack of it is a major contributor to many societal ills in America. He proposes a more inclusive form of capitalism that can have a transformational impact on society.

“His message is particularly powerful as the Baton Rouge community works to rebuild from the tragedies of the summer,” said Adam Knapp, BRAC’s president and CEO.
