BRAC’s July 1 COVID-19 Brief: Congress moves to extend PPP deadline

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate passed by unanimous consent legislation that will extend the application deadline for the Paycheck Protection Program through August 8. The program, which was set to expire at midnight last night, has about $130 billion of unspent funding available. The legislation will need to clear the House and be signed by the President to be enacted. BRAC will continue to monitor the legislation and provide updates.
