Ric Kearny, the Baton Rouge market president of Capital One Bank, has been elected to chair the board of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber.
“As we begin our work toward BRAC’s 2018 strategic goals, we’re excited to have Ric’s leadership,” said Adam Knapp, president and CEO of BRAC. “Ric has remained a long-time supporter of BRAC’s work, and has been involved in several of our councils and committees. His breadth of understanding will be an asset.”
Kearny has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and commercial lending across the state.
“Baton Rouge offers the best of Louisiana. There are many great things happening across the region, from the continued renaissance of downtown Baton Rouge to the thriving arts culture,” Kearny said. “In 2018, BRAC will continue to focus on job growth, education and infrastructure enhancements to improve the quality of life for citizens and businesses in the region.”
Kearny succeeds Lee Jenkins, vice president of Performance Contractors Inc., as BRAC’s chairman.
