Youth Arts Classes
November 23@9:00 am-November 25@12:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:00am on Monday and Saturday, repeating until December 21, 2019
The Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge invites students ages 5-17 to participate in its Fall 2019 Youth Arts Classes. These classes will be held at the Arts Council’s Firehouse Gallery, beginning the week of October 5th and running through the week of December 21st. Teaching artist Gaelin Craighead and musician Jena Vangjel will be instructing classes in Visual Arts and Music, respectively.
Visual Arts classes will take place on Mondays: 9:00am for ages 5-11 and 10:00am for ages 12-17. Music classes will be held on Saturdays: 10:00am for ages 5-8 and 11:00am for ages 9-12. Registration is now open on the Arts Council website.
“Our classes are designed for individuals of all backgrounds,” says Leea Russell, Director of Education for the Arts Council, “They allow participants to meet new people and expand their horizons through the Arts.”
While all available students are welcome to register, Russell pointed out that the times offered for the Visual Arts Classes are most compatible with a homeschool schedule. She hopes that the homeschool community in Baton Rouge will participate.
Registration is now open on the Arts Council website: www.artsbr.org/arts-classes. For more information about Youth Arts Classes, contact Leea Russell at 225-344-8558 ext. 227, email@example.com, or visit www.artsbr.org.
