Gov. John Bel Edwards and Entergy Louisiana CEO Phillip May highlight the speakers for the Statewide Economic Development Summit, set for 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 18 at L’Auberge Casino Hotel in Baton Rouge.
“The speakers for this event will bring perspective from the local, state and even national level,” said Adam Knapp, Baton Rouge Area Chamber president and chief executive officer.
Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Don Pierson will also share his vision for economic development, Knapp said. The summit will feature experts in site location consulting, explore how Louisiana is winning tech jobs and what that means for the state.
“We intend to leave participants with big ideas and actionable best practices to implement in their work improving the state’s economy,” Knapp said.
The summit, presented by Entergy, is a collaborative effort of the Louisiana Regional Leadership Council, which consists of the state’s regional economic development organizations. Other sponsors are Postlethwaite & Netterville, Delta Regional Authority, L’Auberge Baton Rouge, Cox Communications and Biz New Orleans.
