What does your organization do?

Our company, SSA Consultants, helps our clients to be more successful. Whether it is a business who wants to grow or become more profitable, or a non-profit or government agency who wants to improve their performance, we want our clients to see us as a partner and a progressive, results-oriented resource. Specifically, that might mean we work with them on strategic planning, developing systems to improve productivity and performance, leadership development and talent management, succession planning, or reengineering and cost reduction strategies.

What are some advantages of being located/doing business in the Capital Region?

The Capital Region is the hub of the state and allows us to easily serve clients across the Gulf South. Due to the low cost of natural gas and the expansion of the petrochemical industry and all of its suppliers, SSA Consultants has had the opportunity to begin working with clients domestically and in several cases, have continued working with them across the U.S. and even abroad.

Why did you decide to invest in BRAC?

BRAC is truly a catalyst for positive change in our region. They have a tremendous track record of economic development wins over the past several years, landing large, well-known companies like IBM, as well as supporting the retention and expansion of existing business and industry in the area. Their work to support higher education and the research and technology transfer efforts of our academic health centers and the Pennington Biomedical Research Center is critical to remaining competitive in the race for jobs and a highly trained workforce.

What would you say to companies contemplating joining BRAC?

There is no better investment that a company can make than to invest in BRAC. Their efforts to create a healthy business climate are essential to business success today and for the future.

What do you anticipate for your company in the next five years? For the Capital Region?

We are looking forward to significant growth in our company over the next five years. As our clients grow and expand their operations, they rely on us to help them to successfully navigate their growth. The Capital Region is the best place in the state to find talent and business resources and as the national economy gets stronger, the region should experience significant growth from pent-up demand and increased capital investment. BRAC is an investor-driven organization leading economic development in the nine-parish Baton Rouge Area. BRAC’s investor base includes small businesses, midsize firms, large industry and entrepreneurial startups, as well as other individuals and organizations.
