- Tell us a little about your Baton Rouge Story. What brought you to Baton Rouge?
I was born and raised in Baton Rouge and have spent all my life in this great city. I attended both St. George and St. Jean Vianney for elementary school, then later graduated from Catholic High School in 2017. I always knew I wanted to be a Tiger, so I made the decision to stay in Baton Rouge to pursue a degree in Human Resources Development from Louisiana State University. After interning for Highflyer Payroll my senior year, I was excited when a full-time position was extended to me, which I gladly accepted!
- Tell us more about how you’re involved in Baton Rouge (job or organizations).
Currently, I am the regional accountant executive for Highflyer Payroll, as well as an active Baton Rouge Area Chamber Ambassador.
- What is your favorite thing about Baton Rouge?
My favorite thing about Baton Rouge is our ability to come together as a city during difficult times. We are commonly faced with hurricanes and floods and our city never fails to fight back stronger.
- What is your dream for Baton Rouge?
I would love to see our city continue to grow both socially and economically as well as become a city that is discussed in a more positive light in local and national news.
- How are young professionals like yourself shaping Baton Rouge?
I am excited to see our young professionals continue to advocate to their peers the idea of staying in the city after college. It is also promising to see so many young professionals step up and into the roles that our mothers and fathers once occupied.
- What would you say to someone considering a move to Baton Rouge?
Do it! Baton Rouge is a melting pot of culture and has something for everyone!
