Baton Rouge, La. (October 1, 2020) – The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) today announced that applications for the 2021 class of its Leadership Baton Rouge program are now open at brac.org/leadership. Applications will be accepted until October 30, 2020 at midnight.
Program curriculum seeks to train and promote high achievers for positions of voluntary responsibility in the community, provide developing leaders with practical information concerning community issues and assets, establish a communication network among the existing and emerging leaders of the community, and challenge participants to increase their involvement in community affairs.
Candidates are accepted from public and private agencies, corporations, civic and other organizations, and individual nominators. Participants are selected by a committee of Leadership alumni based on demonstrated leadership ability through career or community achievements, concern for the future of the Baton Rouge Area, and commitment to the program.
Session dates for the class of 2021 are as follows:

- February 26, 2021
- March 19, 2021
- April 16, 2021
- May 21, 2021
- June 18, 2021
- July 16, 2021
- August 20, 2021
- September 17, 2021
- October 15, 2021
- November 19, 2021
In addition to the monthly program, class members will engage in a variety of enrichment activities.
Adjustments have been made to the annual program to account for COVID-19 precautions. The class size will be reduced, and course format will allow for hybrid delivery of in-person sessions. BRAC will continue to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and adjust session dates and delivery format as necessary.
