Meet Robert Reynolds
Occupation: Regional Leader
When and why did you get involved with BRAC?
In the Fall of 2017, I was looking for networking opportunities and Shannon Bernard recommended that I become an Ambassador with BRAC.
Tell us more about how you are involved in Baton Rouge?
My wife Charlotte and I are volunteers at The National WWII Museum with their Living History Corps, and have developed a love for our veterans. We have interviewed 36 WWII veterans, with a majority of them from Baton Rouge. In 2015, we authored a book on the life of Baton Rouge WWII veteran Bob Lyle titled “It was some experience…..It really was.” We also organize a weekend event that is held the third weekend of September in Denham Springs that honors those who fought and served in WWII.
Additionally, we work as background extras in the local film industry, are members of Community Bible Church where I play bass guitar in the praise band, and facilitate a financial wellness program. I am also the drummer/leader of the local swing band, Rosie and the Swingin’ Riveters.
Why do you stay involved with BRAC?
In my short time with BRAC, I have experienced tremendous growth as an individual through the networking opportunities provided to investors.
What would you tell someone considering becoming a BRAC investor?
BRAC provides tremendous opportunity for you to promote your business and the ability to network with other like-minded individuals. It also allows you to participate in the growth of the Baton Rouge Area.
What do you see for the future of Baton Rouge? How will we get there?
Baton Rouge has incredible potential to be more of a major destination for businesses looking to grow and BRAC is a great platform in promoting this potential.
What’s one of the most exciting things you see happening in the Baton Rouge Area today?
The revitalization of the downtown district as well as the revitalization of the film industry. BRAC’s Ambassador Program is designed to allow company representatives to actively build relationships with BRAC investors and business leaders while serving as advocates of BRAC’s work.
Each month, BRAC highlights one of these ambassadors in the Ambassador Spotlight. To learn more about the Ambassador Program visit the program page here.
