Drivers in Louisiana and Mississippi searching for gas stations that still have fuel can download the GasBuddy app to find crowdsourced outage information.
The fuel-price-search app has activated a disaster-area service that allows users in Louisiana and Mississippi to find gas stations with fuel, diesel and power. According to information gleaned from GasBuddy users, 52.7% of Baton Rouge gas stations are out of all fuel types, while 26% are out of diesel, the company says. The totals in New Orleans are 52.3% and 24% respectively.
The GasBuddy app is free in smartphone app stores. You can also visit tracker.gasbuddy.com.
