Jackson lies close to the Mississippi border in East Feliciana Parish. Every spring, visitors come from all around to attend the Jackson Assembly Antiques and Art Show, the town’s long-standing annual fundraiser for the preservation and updates of Jackson’s historic buildings and structures. The event offers an antique show, a regional artists’ showcase and tours of historic downtown Jackson, as well as local vendor samplings of homemade candy, pralines and cookies.

Locals love Jackson because:
  • Many residents are long-time volunteers for the Jackson Assembly Antiques and Art Show, which has been held every spring for over 50 years.
  • The Republic of West Florida Historical Museum displays late 19th and early 20th century artifacts including military memorabilia, antique vehicles, model ships and musical instruments.
