When and why did you get involved with BRAC?
While I’ve been aware of BRAC’s successes in the Baton Rouge community for some time, I didn’t become directly involved until joining General Informatics in 2016. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of attending monthly meetings and other BRAC events on a regular basis. I’ve been able to experience, firsthand, BRAC‘s efforts in promoting local businesses.
Tell us more about how you are involved in Baton Rouge?
I am involved with several industry-specific associations relative to General Informatics’ clientele that keep me informed of market trends in the area. It is a great avenue of sharing information with my clients as well as others in their industry.
Why do you stay involved with BRAC?
BRAC’s strategic plan for economic growth is impressive. Its focus areas are vital to our region and while entrepreneurship, transportation, education and workforce are all vastly important for the Capital Region, I was excited to see quality of place as a major initiative.
What would you tell someone considering becoming a BRAC investor?
Get involved! Stay informed! Join BRAC and be a part Baton Rouge’s continued success!
What do you see for the future of Baton Rouge? How will we get there?
Even considering the events of this last year and a half, I’m still excited for Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. We have an entrepreneurial spirit at heart! Education is key!
What’s one of the most exciting things you see happening in the Baton Rouge Area today?
I think the revitalization of downtown was an excellent decision. Of course, I also think our @Highland development is going to blow everyone away! Live. Work. Play. BRAC’s Ambassador Program is designed to allow company representatives to actively build relationships with BRAC investors and business leaders while serving as advocates of BRAC’s work.
Each month, BRAC highlights one of these ambassadors in the Ambassador Spotlight. To learn more about the Ambassador Program visit the program page here.
