Meet Fritz Embaugh
Occupation: CEO and Director of Operations

BRAC Involvement: Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council Member
What does your organization do?
We are a boutique and true design/build firm with both full architectural and construction services in–house.
What are some advantages of being located/doing business in the Capital Region?
Baton Rouge is a unique place to conduct business. Because of its river, air, rail, and road infrastructure, it is an attraction to many industries not only in Louisiana, but in the Gulf South. This creates more of a regional economy, instead of just a local one. Additionally, the presence of LSU and Southern University enhances that regional economy mindset. Many of our clients conduct business outside of the area, in addition to what they are providing in Baton Rouge.
What would you say to companies contemplating joining BRAC?
As with many things in life, you get out of it what you put into it. This is also true with BRAC. One of its greatest benefits is the highly energetic staff working for you behind the scenes. Without their daily efforts and small business minded approach it would be much more difficult to conduct and sustain a small business in our region. There are only so many hours in the day, and as a small business owner and operator, I try to find every way I can to maximize the hours I have available to me. BRAC is one of those organizations I rely upon to support me in those efforts.
What do you anticipate for your company in the next five years? For the Capital Region?
Our company is in a growth period. We expect to double the size of our company in 2019 with an additional 25 percent growth projected for each of the following three years. While we do expect a large part of that growth to come from an expansion we are making into another market, we are confident that more than half of these growth projections will be recognized from the Capital Region. BRAC is an investor-driven organization leading economic development in the nine-parish Baton Rouge Area. BRAC’s investor base includes small businesses, midsize firms, large industry and entrepreneurial startups, as well as other individuals and organizations.
Each month, BRAC highlights one of its investors in the Investor Spotlight. To learn more about becoming an investor, visit the Join BRAC page or schedule a meeting with BRAC’s Investor Development and Relations team.
