What does your organization do?
L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge is a premier and fully integrated casino destination located in the heart of south Baton Rouge. With over 1.2 million visitors a year, we service guests from around the region and the country. L’Auberge opened in September of 2012 and is owned by Penn Gaming. Penn owns and operates over 40 casinos in the United States in over 19 states.
We employ nearly 1,000 team members and provide over 50 table games and nearly 1,500 slots in a beautiful setting overlooking the Mississippi River. If you are hungry, we offer a collection of restaurants and eateries to fulfill any mood or craving you encounter from premium beef at 18 STEAK to catching a beer or gourmet burger and game at Stadium Sports Bar or a little taste of it all at Bon Temps Buffet.
L’Auberge also offers endless entertainment whether you want to catch a first-class act in our 1,500 seat event center or get up close and personal with the live acts at the social music bar, Edge. Our 13,000 square foot ballroom is fully adaptable to any requirement with a state-of-the-art AV system, open pre-function gathering space and the experienced staff to help you organize your event with ease. We also offer a 205 AAA Four Diamond rated hotel with spacious and luxurious rooms.
Our team members strive to be a true part of Baton Rouge and the surrounding community by our numerous charitable contributions and volunteer activities.
What are some advantages of being located/doing business in the Capital Region?
There is no place we would rather do business than in the Capital Region. There is an incredible business community here and a strong sense of pride. The rich culture and love of south Louisiana expresses itself every day in great food and good times. Plus, local football makes it a place where there is always a good reason to celebrate and enjoy an evening at L’Auberge!
Why did you decide to invest in BRAC?
We have been an investor in BRAC since before we opened the doors of L’Auberge. We believe in BRAC’s mission to support business and economic development for the Capital Region. The work BRAC is doing in the Capital Region is invaluable to the future success of the region and all businesses in it.
What would you say to companies contemplating joining BRAC?
I can’t imagine being a part of the business community in this region and not being a part of BRAC. BRAC is an invaluable resource and business partner to us here at L’Auberge Baton Rouge.
What do you anticipate for your company in the next five years? For the Capital Region?
I look forward to watching the Capital Region continue to prosper and grow. We are poised to see great things continue to advance for the economy, education and the infrastructure. As the region grows, so does L’Auberge. We plan to continue to remain innovative and evolve as the needs of our guests and the community evolve. We are proud to be a part of BRAC and the Baton Rouge community and know the future is bright. BRAC is an investor-driven organization leading economic development in the nine-parish Baton Rouge Area. BRAC’s investor base includes small businesses, midsize firms, large industry and entrepreneurial startups, as well as other individuals and organizations.
Each month, BRAC highlights one of its investors in the Investor Spotlight. To learn more about becoming an investor, visit the Join BRAC page or schedule a meeting with BRAC’s Investor Development and Relations team.
