Meet Nicholas “Nick” Moore
Occupation: Account Manager, Communications Consultant
Organization: General Informatics
When and why did you get involved with BRAC?
I became involved through my company General Informatics’ investment. We are always striving to be more connected with the organizations and people of the Baton Rouge Area and to be a part of the change BRAC is pushing for in Baton Rouge.
Tell us more about how you are involved in Baton Rouge?
I am a technology consultant for General Informatics. We work with several organizations across Baton Rouge, so GI keeps me active. I am also involved in Forum 35, Baton Rouge’s largest young professionals’ organization.
Why do you stay involved with BRAC?
BRAC is a great organization focused on helping create economic growth across the nine–parish Capital Region. We’ve found that BRAC is aligned with our internal initiatives in keeping Baton Rouge moving forward.
What would you tell someone considering becoming a BRAC investor?
You get access to BRAC events and can start making relationships with other investors. Learn about the different committees focused on BRAC’s initiatives which may interest you and help you become more involved in driving BRAC’s message and vision for the Baton Rouge Area.
What do you see for the future of Baton Rouge? How will we get there?
I see Baton Rouge becoming recognized more when people think of Louisiana. I’ve been here since 2015, and the city has changed so much since I’ve become a resident. From experiencing The Great Flood of 2016 to now, Baton Rouge has grown in character and size.
One way for us to put our city on the map is to keep driving the growth by supporting one another in the community. Support local businesses. Support one another. Support non-profit organizations.
What’s one of the most exciting things you see happening in the Baton Rouge Area today?
Growth in the technology sector. Businesses across Baton Rouge have been shifting their focus to leveraging technology to help increase their efficiencies and add to their bottom line. With the growing need, there are also several technology provider businesses bringing different specialties to the area. General Informatics is proud to be a part of the technology growth in Baton Rouge, and we are excited to see what greatness can be produced right here in Louisiana. BRAC’s Ambassador Program is designed to allow company representatives to actively build relationships with BRAC investors and business leaders while serving as advocates of BRAC’s work.
Each month, BRAC highlights one of these ambassadors in the Ambassador Spotlight. To learn more about the Ambassador Program visit the program page here.
