October Ambassador Spotlight

Meet Jason Roussell

Occupation: National Sales Executive

Organization: Enterprise Holdings

Hometown: Baton Rouge, LA

When and why did you get involved with BRAC?

With the support of my company, Enterprise Holdings, we joined and took an active role in March 2015. BRAC was a perfect fit for us as it aligns with two of our top priorities: To expand and strengthen existing relationships within the community to grow our business, and to support the economic health and well-being of the communities we work in.

Tell us more about how you are involved in Baton Rouge?

As the National Sales Executive for Enterprise Holdings I work with companies across Southern Louisiana, including Baton Rouge, to create custom solutions to their ground transportation needs by leveraging our multiple brands (Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Enterprise Truck Rental).  We know that transportation needs for companies are always evolving and we believe that by forming a relationship with our corporate partners, we are able to adapt programs to fit their changing needs.

Why do you stay involved with BRAC?

BRAC allows us to strengthen relationships with existing partners and form new ones through networking eventsinvestor relations and economic forums. In addition, we know the importance of a healthy city and economy.  We support BRAC’s Strategic Plan of growing the economy, cultivating talent, improving quality of life and elevating the external image. If we all do our part to improve the Baton Rouge Area, we will be able to attract and retain top talent to the city, grow our economy, and create a great place to live.

What would you tell someone considering becoming a BRAC investor?

Whether you are a large firm or a small startup, there are resources available to you through BRAC to achieve your goals. They have been a great partner to us and the value we get far outweighs the cost to become an investor.

What do you see for the future of Baton Rouge? How will we get there?

I believe Baton Rouge is a city with tremendous potential. We have seen new opportunities come up across the area, investments into education, and exciting new developments on the horizon. However, it doesn’t come without its challenges. We need to come together as a city and recognize the opportunity that is available if we can create open discussions among city leaders and the community on how we can achieve our future goals.

What’s one of the most exciting things you see happening in the Baton Rouge Area today?

I am excited to see investments being made in children from the Knock Knock Children’s Museum to the Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital. These investments will be future cornerstones of the city and I am very pleased to see this happening. BRAC’s Ambassador Program is designed to allow company representatives to actively build relationships with BRAC investors and business leaders while serving as advocates of BRAC’s work.

Each month, BRAC highlights one of these ambassadors in the Ambassador Spotlight. To learn more about the Ambassador Program visit the program page here.
