What does your organization do?

L.A. Champagne is a full-service accounting firm. Some of our services include audit services (including governmental), individual and business tax preparation, estate and business planning, and business consulting.

What are some advantages of being located/doing business in the Capital Region?

Being located in the Capital Region allows our firm to reach a diverse client base of individuals, businesses, and nonprofits. We are able to provide services throughout the Capital Region while maintaining close personal relationships with those clients because of our ties to the community.  

The major universities located within the Capital Region also allows us to recruit and maintain high quality, talented professional staff. Our employees live, work, and worship in this community and have a stake in the community.

Why did you decide to invest in BRAC?

I believe our investment in BRAC shows that we are committed to investing in our community and to taking an interest in its success. BRAC conducts business advocacy and community development activities that are vital to business growth and prosperity in the Capital Region.

What would you say to companies contemplating joining BRAC?

Invest in BRAC and get involved. BRAC offers a wide variety of opportunities for businesses to get involved. Whether that business is large or small, there is something for everyone. Make your investment in BRAC an active one to maximize your return on membership.

What do you anticipate for your company in the next five years? For the Capital Region?

L.A. Champagne has been in business for over 90 years, and during that time the firm has seen many changes. We are an established firm with fresh ideas and we look forward to implementing new ways to serve our clients. We work in an ever-changing industry and must carefully plan on a continuing basis to maintain firm growth and client quality service. As the Capital Region continues to grow and develop, we look forward to the opportunities that will arise for existing businesses as well as new businesses.BRAC is an investor-driven organization leading economic development in the nine-parish Baton Rouge Area. BRAC’s investor base includes small businesses, midsize firms, large industry and entrepreneurial startups, as well as other individuals and organizations.
