Tell us a little about your Baton Rouge Story. What brought you to Baton Rouge?

Born and raised in Baton Rouge!

Tell us more about how you’re involved in Baton Rouge.

I moved away to get married, but I now split time between Austin and Baton Rouge as COO of SellSwipe.

What is your favorite thing about Baton Rouge?

Easily the food. It’s the thing I miss the most when I’m not here.

What is your dream for Baton Rouge?

My dream is for the people of Baton Rouge to be in a more harmonious place. The city has so much talent and culture that doesn’t get a chance to shine through because it gets drowned out by the noise. I think if this city focused on helping each other grow, Baton Rouge could really stand out as a cultural hub in this region of the country.

How are young professionals like yourself shaping Baton Rouge?

What you’re starting to see is a bit of the changing of the guard. The young people of this city are incredibly entrepreneurial. And even those that decide to take their talents to corporate America are bringing a culture of togetherness and a real focus on having pride in Baton Rouge.

What would you say to someone considering a move to Baton Rouge?

Make sure you get to know as many people as you can. The city has so much more life when you can experience it with friends.

What is your Baton Rouge favorite?

With significant job growth, a bustling arts scene, delectable cuisine, abundant outdoor activities and more, the Capital Region attracts talent of all ages, including young professionals. Whether straight out of college or looking to establish their own business, more and more young professionals are choosing to lay their roots in Baton Rouge.

Each month, BRAC highlights one of these young Baton Rouge Area movers and shakers in the Young Professional Spotlight.
