Sites & Real Estate

Take the guess work out of choosing where to locate or expand your business by working with BRAC.

Certified Sites

BRAC works collaboratively with local economic development organizations, surrounding parishes, land owners, and the state to ensure a robust suite of site options for any project.

The BRAC Certified Sites initiative was established to identify development-ready sites in the Capital Region and increase the number of certified sites available to economic development prospects.

Advantages of the Capital Region’s state-leading inventory of certified sites include:

  • Development ready
  • Substantial due diligence completed
  • Significant site information gathered and documented
  • Independent third-party engineering review
  • Obstacles eliminated through enhanced site analysis, remediation and knowledge
  • Greater marketability
  • Granted priority in site proposal submittals
  • More competitive

Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Certified Sites are development-ready industrial, manufacturing, or office sites that have undergone a rigorous review of site characteristics. Specific site details, such as zoning, restrictions, title work, traffic count studies, environmental studies, soil analysis and surveys, are assessed for compliance and authenticity.

In addition to the traditional certified sites program, BRAC participates in LED’s Certified Business Sites program, specifically for sites between 10 and 25 acres.
