SoLA Super Region

The Capital Region sits in the center of the Southeast Louisiana Super Region, or SoLA, the business and cultural heart of the Gulf Coast. SoLA unites the Baton Rouge, Bayou and New Orleans regions to collaboratively identify and promote initiatives that foster a thriving economic climate and superior quality of life for the businesses and residents of all three regions.

A Greater Population

The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area holds a population of 840,000, and when expanded to the super region, the population increases to 2.57 million. Located in the center of the super region, Baton Rouge is uniquely poised to pull cross commuters from the surrounding regions.

SOLA REGION-01

A United Force

The SoLA Super Region, representing more than half of Louisiana’s legislative seats, understands the importance of a unified voice when advocating for select policy issues.

Each legislative term, SoLA representatives unite to advocate for policies that make the super region a more attractive place to live, work, and grow a business.
