Ann Forte Trappey, chief executive officer and president of engineering firm Forte and Tablada, has been named chair of the Baton Rouge Area Chamber board for 2016.

Trappey has worked with municipalities for more than 30 years as a design engineer. Under Trappey, Forte and Tablada Inc. has grown into a multi-disciplinary, multi-office engineering and land surveying firm. The company has grown by more than 20 percent in the past two years.

“A longtime member of BRAC’s executive committee and board and a small business owner, Ann possesses unique insight into some of the challenges confronting the region, most notably in the areas of transportation and infrastructure funding,” BRAC president and CEO Adam Knapp said.

Trappey, a native of Iberville Parish and former chair of the Iberville Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors, also brings a keen appreciation for regionalism, he said.
