Call For Proposals
BRAC and Forum 225 are seeking potential speakers for the second annual YP Summit. Additional information on session types and example topics can be found below.
Proposals will be selected based on the relevancy of the session topic, overall quality of the proposal, and the level of expertise from the potential speaker.
Submissions are due by Wednesday, April 19.
Session Types
– Concurrent Session
Traditional 60 minutes session that allows for 40 to 45 minute presentation with 15 to 20 minutes for discussion.
– Facilitated Dialogue
Designed to promote open dialogue around a significant issue or theme. Facilitators will encourage and maintain authentic dialogue with participants. The dialogue should give attendees an opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other’s experiences.

- Better The Capital Region: 225 and Beyond (highlight other parishes)
- Community Safety/Justice/Restoration - something that speaks to pushing back on bad news and criminal justice reform
- How to engage with City Parish government
- Finding Your Neighborhood
- What are different neighborhoods doing
- First Time or relocating home buyer
- Tips for first time homebuyers
